The V8 Ute's motor is being stripped and checked after the drama they had in WA.
The engine was shipped directly from Perth to the workshop in QLD for repair.
Once rebuilt, it will be flown directly to Darwin, where it will be returned to the Jesus Ute in time for Round Three.
Competition guidelines state the teams are unable to test on the circuit prior to a race so the team is now searching for an airstrip or similar on which to put the rebuilt engine through its paces before it hits the track for Round Three.
