Life Without Limbs official started in 2005, after Vujicic found his purpose in being an ambassador of God to bring the hope of Jesus Christ to his community and people all around the world.
His story has been told to millions of people in over 24 countries, in schools and corporate meetings, among Christian congregations, and on television programs such as 20/20 and the Oprah Winfrey Show.
Since beginning his ministry, Vujicic has released several DVDs including Life's Greater Purpose and No Arms, No Legs, No Worries. His first book Life Without Limits: Inspiration for a Ridiculously Good Life is due out later this month.
Born and raised in Melbourne, throughout his childhood, Vujicic struggled with depression and loneliness. He constantly questioned why he was different to all the other kids surrounding him and faced many challenges trusting in a God that he felt gave him less.
At the age of 8, he wanted to end his pain, and tried to drown himself in a bathtub with four inches of water. But he could not do it out of love for his parents, and knowing that all they did was love him.
Growing up, Vujicic continually questioned God about the way in which he was born, until one day his mother had him read an article about a severely disabled man, exposing to him to the pain and circumstances of others.
This consequently changed his entire perspective on life. This brought Vujicic comfort, knowing he was not the only one suffering, and that God loves him even when he cannot make reason of the present situation. He realised that he had a choice to be either angry at God for what he didn't have or be thankful for what he did have.
Vujicic most recently spoke at Onnuri Church in Seoul, and is scheduled to travel around the US in the coming month.
