It's all in aid of Operation Christmas Child, a unique project that brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes.
Hope 103.2 wanted to help provide an opportunity for people of all ages to be involved in this simple but hands-on project, and encouraged listeners and locals to help fill the large shipping container with a shoe boxes filled with gifts that will transform children's lives.
From 7am to 10am this morning, the Aaron and Erin breakfast show was broadcast live on the front lawn in front of the container, while the team cooked pancakes for those coming down to drop off their box. Home and Away's Lynne McGranger joined Aaron and Erin on-air as their special guest, and the Today Show's promotional team dropped by to hand out goodies for all the visitors.
Hundreds of shoe boxes were dropped off across the morning, but there is still plenty more space to fill! The container will be at Hope 103.2 till the end of October and people can drop their shoe boxes in to Hope 103.2 during that time.
