‘Beyond the veil’ is a piece that took me deep in the heavenly realm of colours and light. It was a piece of art born out of a new way of painting and one in which the destination was not known, the process was new to me and the emotions that filtered through my mind and heart were intense and felt like I had entered another dimension.
As the paint was stroked new elements emerged on the canvas and as the colours were mixed a story began to be told about life, God and the universe. Under the final piece there lays about 10 different paintings all leading to this final piece.
With a painting with so many meanings beyond the veil has spoken into lives in so many ways and that is some of the beauty and mystery of this piece.
The imagery of the piece is a reflection of the character and nature of who God is. In the top left is the roaring lion of Judah, which is representative of Jesus Christ as the powerful and authoritative figure of the Godhead.
The right hand side shows the angelic figure of the Holy Spirit flying on the swirl of colours and light that make up creation.
Finally as you step back from the piece you will see the iris of the eye of Father God in which everything and all aspects, elements and symbols wrap around as He is the centerpoint of all Creation
